Payroll Specialist - Remote Opportunity
About the position
The Payroll Specialist Level I is responsible for processing payroll and related data on a weekly and biweekly basis. This role involves close collaboration with Human Resources to ensure accurate payroll analysis and processing, including handling various payroll-related tasks and assisting employees with payroll inquiries.
- Responsibilities
- Process payroll and related data on a weekly and biweekly basis. ,
- Check payroll information for accuracy. ,
- Coordinate with HR regarding changes in payroll such as terminations and new hires. ,
- Process financial compensations or deductions including bonuses and severance pay. ,
- Assist employees with general payroll questions and educate them on company-specific payroll policies. ,
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Requirements
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role. ,
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with UKG payroll systems. ,
- Familiarity with payroll processes and relevant legislation such as Sarbanes-Oxley Act or FLSA. ,
- Working knowledge of Ultipro/UKG payroll and WFM timekeeping system. ,
- Analytical mind with good math skills. ,
- Strong communication skills. ,
- Excellent attention to detail. ,
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook). ,
- Healthcare experience preferred. ,
- Associate's Degree.
