Fractional Controller - Remote, Part-Time

<p><span>Charles River CFO, Inc. is searching for a<span style="font-weight: bold;"> Fractional Controller located in or near Boston, MA</span>. The ideal candidate will be a CPA, and be available to start immediately at a part-time capacity of 0-20 hours per week.</span></p> <p><span></span><br></p> <p><span><span style="font-weight: bold;">Location:</span> (Required): Boston, MA</span></p> <p><span><span style="font-weight: bold;">Work Setting:</span> Remote</span></p> <p><span><span style="font-weight: bold;">Anticipated Start Date:</span> Week of March 24, 2025</span></p> <p><br></p> <p>The Controller will oversee AR, AP and General Accounting. Immediate need to assist VP Finance with year-end bonuses, growth strategies and day-to-day accounting.<br></p> <p><br></p> <p><span style="font-weight: bold;">Experience &amp; Qualifications:</span><span></span></p> <ul> <li><span>Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance</span><br></li> <li><span>Background in Life Sciences and in the Public Sector</span></li> <li><span>CPA <span style="text-decoration: underline;">required.</span></span></li> <li>Familiar with SEC Reporting</li> <li>Minimum of 10 years’ of experience in Finance/Accounting</li> <li>Proficient with Microsoft Office and advanced knowledge of Excel</li> <li>Experience in QuickBooks is required and a variety of systems is preferred</li> <li>Tech-Savvy, comfortable learning new cloud tools</li> <li>Experience using payroll, expense reimbursement and bill pay systems</li> <li>Understanding of GAAP accounting</li> <li>Working knowledge of tax filings such as 1099s and sales tax forms</li> <li>Excellent communication skills</li> <li>Detail oriented and highly organized</li> <li>Commitment to providing excellent client service</li> <li><span>Ability to analyze complex situations, identify critical issues, and solve problems</span><span>&nbsp;</span></li> </ul> <p>Compensation for this role is $65-$75 hourly</p> <p><br></p> <p><span style="font-weight: bold;">Join Us</span></p> <p><span>Charles River CFO, Inc. is an FAO firm serving companies in the life sciences, high technology, manufacturing, professional services, and nonprofit industries.
