- Manage systems/user accounts for access to systems and equipment infrastructure
- Install, maintain and enhance (Network/Systems) equipment, services, and/or maintain technical documentation or procedures as needed
- Establish and maintain on premise or Cloud services (AWS, Azure) for production environments for Production, Development and QA/Test environments to enable continuous scanning and patch management of all environments with no loss of access to virtual/physical environment services
- Establish and maintain on premise or cloud services for all environments backup and recovery, including for production database and off-line data archival
- Manage and load balance Network/Systems resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability, including performance tuning
- Implement and sustain (compliance of) security protocols, procedures, software patches, and tools to sustain compliance
- Use secure practices to ensure no cybersecurity vulnerabilities are introduced during maintenance/enhancement of the systems and physical and virtual infrastructure
- Analyze, troubleshoot and/or resolve hardware/software interface and interoperability problems
- Ensure the rigorous application of information security and information assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of systems administration services
- Develop, maintain and archive disaster recovery documentation and support all objectives for continuity of operations and systems/services failover
- Maintain the environment of computer data center(s) (temperature, humidity, cleanliness, etc.)
- Monitor and analyze audit logs, and reports for any irregularities
- Serve as agency point of contact for third party vendors who work service/operations service interruptions and manage the restoral and recovery of services as they evaluate the impact and risk to agency management (e.g., Microsoft, Lumen, Verizon, etc.
- Monitor and independently administrate server disk storage and print queues
- Assist in the maintenance of user/group access rights for accounts and groups to ensure compliance with Least Privilege account management standards
- Develop, document, and/or maintain systems administration standard operating procedures (SOPs) and configuration documentation
- Perform and/or ensure successful (on and off-premise) system back-up functions on a daily, weekly and monthly basis as required by established standards
- Implement Microsoft Copilot enterprise applications
Minimum of an undergraduate (Bachelors) degree in Information Technology, Information Systems Management, Computer Science, or a related field from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education. Priority consideration for Microsoft, AWS, and Azure certifications.Work Location Arlington, VA on-site at Federal Government client office full-timeSecurity Clearance Requirements Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
