In this vital role you will be assigned as the Project Manager on one or more transformation initiatives related to end-to-end processes spanning Operations, R&D, Commercial, and/or Corporate functions.The Results Delivery Office (RDO) drives transformation and builds critical capabilities that enable Amgen to respond to rapid advancements in science and technology within a rapidly changing business environment.We are looking for a Business Performance Manager to join our team of leaders and liaisons, working on these high priority initiatives that drive value through simplification of Amgen’s largest, cross-functional, end-to-end processes. This individual will be responsible for centralized team operations, including centralized team and meeting management, metrics mapping and tracking, and creation of senior communications.The ideal candidate will have some experience in R&D scientific and operational subject matter, including the ability to interface with and synthesize inputs from cross-functional subject matter experts, often in highly technical fields. Initial project work will focus on R&D operational transformation, with the opportunity to flex across the Amgen enterprise in the future.Support the Lead and Liaison to deliver on initiative ambitionCreate and manage the integrated schedule for initiatives and workstreamsTrack progress towards delivery of key project deliverables, escalate issues, and assist with problem solving in relation to the schedule and resource requirementsSupport definition and management of resource requirements for the overall initiative and workstreamsIdentify and share Project Management best practices and contribute to the continued evolution of Project Management tools and practicesManage team meetings and track decisions and action items; support problem solving for delivery of action items as neededSupport workshops and other project activities as neededWhat we expect of youWe are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The dynamic professional we seek is a manager with these qualifications.Basic Qualifications:Doctorate degree ORMaster’s degree and 2 years of Scientific and/or Operations and/or Business (i.e., Management Consulting) experience ORBachelor’s degree and 4 years of Scientific and/or Operations and/or Business (i.e., Management Consulting) experience ORAssociate’s degree and 8 years of Scientific and/or Operations and/or Business (i.e., Management Consulting) experience ORHigh school diploma / GED and 10 years of Scientific and/or Operations and/or Business (i.e., Management Consulting)Preferred Qualifications:Biotechnology / Pharmaceutical industry experience (preferred) or other sectors of healthcare industryTechnical degree in biotechnology/engineering/biological sciences or related fieldProficiency with project management tools, methodologies and practicesProject Management experience for large, cross functional initiativesExperience working in fast-changing and often ambiguous environmentWhat you can expect from usAs we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for your professional and personal growth and well-being.
