Job description: Summary:We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Director of Turnkey Project Management to lead our dynamic team in successfully delivering turnkey projects from inception to completion. The Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of turnkey customer product development, project planning, execution, and launch while ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to drive successful project outcomes and foster a collaborative work environment. This role requires someone that understands the sense of urgency around customer deadlines and is comfortable enterprising the best path forward to ensure customer satisfaction. Creating process as the division evolves and ensuring compliance will be vital.
Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Develop a comprehensive strategy for executing turnkey projects, aligning project objectives with the organization's overall goals and vision.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of product development project managers, working closely with our lab team, turnkey innovation team, account managers and support staff to ensure efficient project execution, maintain motivation, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Project Initiation: Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand project requirements, scope, and deliverables while setting clear project objectives and success criteria.
  • Budget Management/Pricing Oversight: Oversee project pricing, ensuring cost-effectiveness, resource allocation, cm selection and timely delivery within approved costs.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, and implement contingency plans to minimize disruptions and ensure smooth project progress.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliancy to our quality assurance processes, conducting regular audits to ensure adherence to industry standards and client specifications.
  • Schedule and Timeline Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, track progress, and proactively address any schedule deviations to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate with clients, team members, vendors, and other stakeholders to provide project updates, address concerns, and manage expectations.
  • Resource Coordination: Coordinate with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and contractors to ensure seamless integration and collaboration during project execution.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance project management methodologies, efficiency, and overall project delivery.
  • Project Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, risk assessments, and post-project evaluations.
  • Contract Management: Oversee contract negotiation and compliance, ensuring all contractual obligations are met and adhered to.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Cosmetics, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience of at least 8-10 years in project management, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role managing turnkey projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering results and meeting project objectives.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, including MS Office Suite, Salesforce, Taskray, Smartsheets, or similar applications.
  • Experience in beauty product development and manufacturing preferred, management experience required
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong financial acumen and budget management experience.
  • Familiarity with the beauty landscape including skincare, color, complexion, hair, body required
  • PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
  • Location: Dallas, TX, Paramus, NJ or Remote Considered.
