The Senior Associate will spend 50 to 70% of their time on client project-related activities, with the balance of time spent in an administrative capacity. The client project activities will involve assisting with document management, data extraction, data entry, quality control, and research. Administrative tasks will include client invoicing, practice development activities as well as general clerical work.What You’ll Do
- Manage the documents received from clients and other sources including downloading and managing internal and client-facing databases of documents.
- Review, scan, parse, organize project documents/exhibits and maintain document control databases.
- Work with PDF documents, including running OCR (optical character recognition) and compiling backup for reports and binders.
- Extract data from documents and assist with organizing data into useable forms including Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, and PowerPoint presentations.
- Perform Quality Assessment (QA) and Quality Control (QC) procedures on various data sets and reports.
- Conduct research and other special projects.
- Associate degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position does not provide visa sponsorship.
- Ability to travel to clients and FTI office(s) as needed.
- Proficiency in the use of various software applications including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Zoom and Adobe.
- Strong computer and organizational skills.
- Self-directed and self-motivated in job-related tasks.
- Ability to work well in teams and independently, in both a remote (virtual) and in-person setting.
- Willing to learn new duties and technology-related skills as required.
- Two plus years of work experience supporting and working with a team delivering consulting or legal services to a varied client base.
- Experience supporting teams developing deliverables for clients.
- Experience maintaining document control databases and inventories.
- Expert with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat.
- Flexibility to adapt work schedule to meet client deadlines.
- Flexibility in working on multiple assignments concurrently and taking direction from several client service professionals.
- Accurate, efficient and consistent performance in demanding, deadline-driven situations.
- Demonstrate a positive, courteous, and friendly attitude.
