Job description: Program Coordinator, Career ServicesSUMMARYThe Program Coordinator of Creative Careers & Collaboration is part of a collaborative and innovative team committed to the career development and success of CCAD students. The Program Coordinator is instrumental in the planning and execution of on-campus and remote career development activities including career fairs, employer visits, workshops, and presentations. This position works closely with the Director of Creative Careers & Collaboration to develop and implement career development and experiential learning activities that empower student choice and action, as well as enhance their professional readiness. This position is also responsible for internal communications and event promotion, online registration and event management, upkeep of the career management system (currently, Handshake), and relevant office data. This role requires strong communication skills and event coordination experience, comfort working with many different fields and organizations (both corporate and community), a passion for creative student development, and a self-reliant and organized approach.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:Event & Program Management
- Serve as the primary event coordinator for all employer, learning partner, and student engagement events and presentations (e.g., art fair, career fair(s), presentations, site visits, etc.)
- Solicit and manage volunteers and coordinate signage, communications, and marketing for larger events
- Plan and implement student career programming focused on the developmental needs of students at all levels (first-year to senior year)
- Coordinate and deliver workshops and classroom presentations regarding all aspects of career development and engagement opportunities with Creative Careers & Collaboration department
- Coordinate employer visits and career fairs including creating registration and promotional materials, marketing the events to students, overseeing logistics, organizing volunteers, and preparing students to maximize the benefit of attending
- Assist the Director in establishing student-learning objectives related to the work of the department
- Administer, interpret, and/or discuss the results of career planning tools with students to assist in self-understanding and decision-making
- Conduct career coaching consultations with students and assist them in pursuing their career goals
- Promote the office's services to students using innovative strategies and multiple channels, including social media, print, email newsletters, videos, podcasts or other means as appropriate
- Use creative tactics to share information with students about job listings, employer visits, internship and freelance work opportunities
- Manage job board ensuring that work and volunteer opportunities for students and alumni are relevant, organized, and up-to-date
- Manage and maintain student and employer records in database system(s) such as Handshake and Raiser's Edge
- Complete reports, as requested, that include student registration and interaction plans, status reports for events and classroom visits, and updates to various databases
- Very high level of attention to detail

- Excellent time-management and organizational skills
- Strong writing and digital communication skills across multiple modes, including social media and content creation
- Strong verbal communication and presentation skills
- Resourceful, efficient, responsive, self-directed, and able to work independently
- Copywriting/writing, photography/video, and graphic design experience is a plus
- Knowledge of and/or strong desire to learn art and design processes
- Passion for working with artists, designers, and the next generation of creative innovators
- Bachelor's degree, preferably with two years of related experience in career development, event planning, and/or marketing/communications
- A Master's degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education Administration, or a related degree is a plus
- 1-3 years of relevant administrative and programmatic experience
- Program experience with Adobe products, Google Suite, and MS Office
- Program experience with Raiser's Edge, Asana, and Smartsheet a plus
- Program experience with Handshake or other career management systems a plus
