We invest heavily in creating a clean, modern hospital with a friendly, professional staff.Provide your best care with more bridges and less barriers.Your Role: Veterinary AssistantAs a Veterinary Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting the care and comfort of pets and their families. You'll be a vital part of the team, ensuring smooth daily operations and helping to create a welcoming and efficient environment.*Shift availability needed: Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday.Key Responsibilities:Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during exams, treatments, and proceduresProvide compassionate care for patients including feeding, cleaning, and walkingUse safe restraining techniques during exams and treatmentsMaintain clean, sterile, and organized exam rooms, kennels, and treatment areasSupport with diagnostic tests and collecting samples (fecal, urine, blood under supervision)Prepare and maintain medical records and client communicationEducate pet parents on basic care, medications, and home-care instructionsHelp with patient admissions and dischargesMaintain hospital inventory and restock suppliesParticipate in hospital cleanliness, including laundry, dishes, and facility upkeepBe a positive team player and contribute to a supportive, inclusive work culture Experience & Skills Requirements:Previous veterinary assistant or animal care experience preferredPassion for animals and commitment to excellent careStrong communication and client service skillsAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentComfortable working with computers and electronic medical recordsTeam-oriented and proactiveWillingness to learn and take initiative You'll Grow With UsWe believe in growing together. Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with a hourly pay rate starting at $21 - $25/ hour.
