As a Reporting Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining various technical solutions to support end users through reports, dashboards, and other products and solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of Snowflake architecture, SQL, and data visualization tools.Key Responsibilities:Data Structures and ModelingDesign, develop, and maintain Snowflake objects such as tables, views, stored procedures, and user-defined functions to support reporting requirementsUse programming languages to compile complex data into a format that reporting tools can efficiently handleApply advanced knowledge of data warehouse structures/models and design principles to optimize data extraction and transformationReporting Development and Optimization:Translate report requirements into technical specifications for data model builds and report constructionLeverage complex tool features, such as html, to enhance user experience or to join external data alongside system data in one reportIdentify opportunities to improve query performance, data loading processes, and overall system efficiency within SnowflakeContinuous optimization and fine-tuning of reports and reporting processes for improved performanceExplore new tools, technologies and best practices to enhance efficiency and provide innovative solutionsAutomation:Build data pipelines that cleanse and combine information from disparate sources, with a specific expertise in understanding integrating data from apps like Smartsheet or translating manually collected data into efficient and consistent outputsConsult with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, to deliver data pipelines that efficiently render in reporting toolsCollaboration:Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and deeply understand the business needs & outcomesProvide consultative support across a diverse group of clients and partners, building trust and influenceWork closely with cross-functional teams including data engineers, business analysts, and data scientists to deliver impactful reporting solutionsDocumentation and Training :Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of report specifications, data models/design decisions, and reporting use cases to ensure knowledge transfer and support continuityProvide training and support to end users on accessing and interpreting solutions to ensure successful adoption and utilization of toolsRequired Skills and Qualifications:Proven experience in report engineering, data analytics, data engineering, or similarBachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics or similar disciplineExpertise in scripting languages such as SQL and Python, and experience with database technologies such as SnowflakeDemonstrated proficiency in Smartsheet or Airtable, with experience working with partners to build and scale solutionsExperience developing reports and dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or CognosStrong critical thinking and problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent collaboration and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple prioritiesEffectively handle and maintain confidential informationPreferred Qualifications:Experience with HR data, systems, and processes (e.g. Workday, SAP)Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and methodologiesThe hiring range for this position in Orlando, Florida is $108,200.00 - $132,200.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
