Job description: Location: Fully Remote - anywhere in USDirect HireWe are seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems design and implementation, with the ability to manage projects from concept to completion. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems for various project types.
  • Create detailed electrical drawings, specifications, and layouts using CAD software.
  • Perform electrical load calculations and system analysis to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, and other engineering disciplines to determine project requirements and specifications.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing electrical systems and provide recommendations for improvements or upgrades.
  • Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure they meet design specifications and safety standards.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, documentation, and project proposals.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and regulations to ensure designs are innovative and compliant.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in electrical engineering design and project management.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other electrical design software.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant codes and standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
  • Experience with sustainable design practices and LEED certification is a plus.
