Project Summary

The Supply Chain Consultant will lead the implementation of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system with an integrated Warehouse Management System, Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP II) capabilities for Veranova New England. The project is expected to take (9) months from initiation to post-implementation support conclusion.

Project Description

This project involves a hands-on approach in developing and setting up the system from the ground up, including the initial production planning in Excel. The consultant will collaborate and be supported by the current supply chain staff (Purchasing Manager, Director of Supply Chain, Inventory Control Supervisor, Production Planner, Master Data Specialist, and Warehouse/Shipping Supervisor). This individual will be responsible for educating and training to ensure the team can effectively use the system to optimize Veranova New England supply chain operations.

Scope of work
• Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
• Work with key stakeholders at the sites in New England to gather detailed requirements for the ERP - (WMS, MRP, and MRP II) systems.
• Analyze current supply chain processes to identify areas for improvement and integration into the ERP system.
• Develop a detailed requirements document that outlines the requirements needed to integrate the information (master data, cycle times, yields) from our demand, manufacturing and procurement including suppliers in the ERP system to support MRP and MRP II.
• Production Planning in Excel:
• Develop an initial production planning model in Excel to be used as a blueprint for the MRP system.
• Ensure the excel model incorporates forecasting, inventory management, and demand planning.
• ERP implementation:
• Work with the global process owners / D365 team to configure the ERP system to include WMS, MRP and MRP II functionality as per the requirements gathered.
• Oversee the integration of the ERP system with existing company databases and software tools for the New England Region at Veranova.
• Data Migration:
• Collaborate with global process owner / D365 team to execute the migration of existing supply chain data into the new ERP system.
• Validate and verify the accuracy of the data post-migration.
• Process Optimization:
• Optimize supply chain processes to leverage the full capabilities of the ERP system.
• Create standardized workflows and documentation for all supply chain processes within the ERP system.
• Training and Development:
• Develop a comprehensive training program for the current supply chain staff on the use of the ERP system with a focus on WMS, MRP and MRP II functionalities.
• Conduct hands-on training sessions and workshops.
• Provide training materials and user manuals for future reference.
• Testing and Quality Assurance:
• Perform thorough testing of the ERP system to ensure all functionalities are working as intended.
• Work with the IT department to resolve any technical issues that arise during testing.
• Go-Live and Post-Implementation Support:
• Develop a go-live strategy that includes a detailed implementation schedule and risk mitigation plans.
• Provide support during the go-live phase to address any immediate issues.
• Offer post-implementation support and troubleshooting for a defined period.
• Reporting and Performance Metrics:
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the ERP implementation.
• Create custom reports within the ERP system for ongoing performance monitoring.

Deliverables
• Detailed requirements document (reference SOW.1.C) ERP system with WMS, MRP and MRP II functionalities.
• Production planning model in Excel.
• Configured and tested ERP system ready for go-live
• Data migration plan and validation report.
• Process Optimization report that aligns with standardized workflows.
• Training program materials and the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Post-implementation support plan and materials.
• Custom ERP reports and KPI dashboard.

Qualifications
• 15+ years' experience in Supply Chain in the pharmaceutical industry. Specific experience in production planning, procurement, and logistics.
• Proven success in implementing an ERP system
• Prior experience using an ERP such as Microsoft Dynamics D365
• Advanced Microsoft Excel experience
